3 male blackbirds clash like cymbals,,,
2 females flit their tails//
A chaffinch pair stoop to share
The scattered seed all spread below…
Magpie glides, phantom pied
A washing wagtail
Meets crows’ eyes..
The pigeons ‘cuuuu’
All tits are blue
A goldfinch family chats a charm
The dunnocks’ legs are orange pegs
A crystal song pours up and breaks
From robin’s beak up in the tree
Where little black stars wait for me
All 26, the starlings bicker
To miss the great spotted woodpecker!
Rush Hour (The Great Garden Birdwatch)

This is so clever! A garden of birds flew before my eyes as I read š

Thanks Sandra. I consider myself very lucky to have the pleasure of such light company.
